This is a message from the Jersey Shore Area School District ParentLink system to parents and students who ride Bus 376 the River Road and Pine Creek Avenue area at the end of the Antes Fort Run. This message is from Bruce Boncal, Transportation Director. The same message will be posted in the transportation section of the Jersey Shore Area School District web site.

Our bus contractor and I are striving to bring some normalcy to the Bus 376 route that serves the Antes Fort area/River Road/Pine Creek Avenue. I am aware that the buses have been running early in the morning and late in the afternoon. I do want you to know that I will be riding this bus run on Thursday both in the morning and in the afternoon to check times on this route. I ask for your patience as we get this ironed out. A revised schedule will be posted on the school district web site in the transportation section.

Here’s the plan for Thursday morning, August 30 for secondary students:

The secondary students run will occur first. The bus will not leave the depot until 6:45 am and the first stop for secondary students will be at 6:55 am at earliest on River Miller Road. The bus will be leaving the Antes Fort area by 7:20 am and heading up to River Road and Pine Creek Avenue. The anticipated arrival at the high school should be about 7:40 am and the middle school by 7:45 am, but I still think the bus will run a little ahead of schedule.

The elementary run will begin immediately after the students are dropped off at Jersey Shore Middle School. It is anticipated that the first stop on River Mill Road will be approximately 7:50 am, make its rounds through Antes Fort and leave Antes Fort by 8:13 am, and students will be at the Jersey Shore Elementary School by 8:30 am. Students who participate in the breakfast program will still have the opportunity to eat breakfast.

In the afternoon, River Road and Pine Creek Avenue students will ride bus 372--not Bus 376--in the afternoon only. We have tried this the last couple of days to deliver the River Road/Pine Creek Avenue students first after the bus departs the middle school. It will be a combined elementary/secondary run for the River Road/Pine Creek Avenue students. Again, River Road and Pine Creek Avenue students will ride Bus 376 in the morning and Bus 372 in the afternoon until we get this run refined.
